Sometimes Multiple Jobs Are Running At The Same Time And Resources Must Be Allocated To Each Of Them. The Different Resources Are Managed By The Operating System.


Operating System May Also Be Used To Keep Track Of The Various Computer Resources And How Much And Which Users Are Using These Resources.


Protection Ensures That All Access To The System Resources Is Controlled. When Several Processes Execute Concurrently, It Should Not Be Possible For One Process To Interface With The Other Or With The Operating System Itself.
